This excellent film features a soundtrack composed by IAIN BALLAMY (also available on La La Land Records) and also a couple of cameo appearances by the man himself. 9th MAY 2006 - A visit from MATTHEW SHARP and his 300-year-old Italian cello (complete with £11,000 bow!) to record parts for Elisabeth Stainton’s “Rubicon”. As well as being a supremely accomplished cellist (John Taverner wrote his piece “Petra” for Matthew) he performs as an actor and an operatic soloist and collaborates with various theatrical and performance artists. APRIL 2006 - Currently in production: “RUBICON” an album by singer/songwriter Elisabeth Stainton. Ten tracks written and performed by Elisabeth and arranged and produced by Rain. Guest musicians to include Iain Ballamy on saxophones, Matthew Sharp on Cello and Phil Morgan on violin. Release date is set for August 2006 on Marionet Records. 10th APRIL 2006 – IAIN BALLAMY performs live on BBC Radio Three’s “In Tune” programme this evening with legendary English folk singer JUNE TABOR and pianist HUW WARREN. This latest collaboration is called “QUERCUS” and they are currently performing on a short UK tour. 13th FEBRUARY 2006 – Today the greatest saxophonist in the world, IAIN BALLAMY recorded parts for “The World Over” by Steve Hillman – www.ballamy.com 2nd FEBRUARY 2006 – GARETH DAVIES, lead flautist with the London Symphony Orchestra and professor of flute at the Royal Academy of Music, London recording parts for “The World Over” by Steve Hillman.
